I have had a life long interest in knot tying and have been making boat fenders now for almost 16 years. Ike argent, a man who lived his entire life on the canals, introduced me to fender making at a workshop held at the Ellesmere Canal Boat Trust and during the course Ike also introduced me to the International Guild of Knot Tyers, with whom I have been an active member now for 18 years. For the last 10 years I have been a full-time fender maker and I would now like to pass on my skills to others.
